A while ago I was given the opportunity to push photogrammetry to new extremes by Mountain Ridge, builder of fine log homes, they wanted us to scan one of their recent builds. This was one of the largest scans we had done and while we were left with a beautiful 3d model, there were several obstacles, the main one being the the dense point cloud (100 million points!) had to be split into 4 polygonal sections and reassembled in a 3d package, as well as some roof and window fixes, due to the reflections and dark color of the roof tiles. Ive put up the moody, cloudy/grassy renders and a spinning .gif of the plain renders bellow! Special thanks to Mountain Ridge for permission to post these!
